Dilijan City Park

Dilijan City Park is a key public space, the improvement of which has been carried out since 2016 by the Dilijan Development Foundation (DDF) with the support of the foundation’s co-founders Ruben Vardanyan and Veronika Zonabend. Soon, the next stage of the park’s comprehensive reconstruction will be completed. The concept for this stage was developed by the foundation in collaboration with residents.

The park’s reconstruction project aims to create a modern, well-maintained, and inclusive environment for a wide range of users.

As part of the development concept, the following improvements have already been made:

  • Renovation of pedestrian routes,
  • Upgrading of sports and children’s infrastructure,
  • Landscaping and greening of the area,
  • Modernization of the lighting system.

Particular attention is being paid to sustainable development. The park now features elements of environmental education and waste sorting, implemented through the EcoDili program. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the lake are also carried out, contributing to the improvement of its ecosystem.

In the future, the park will become a multifunctional public space that brings together people with diverse interests. Planned upgrades include:

Renovated sports and children’s playgrounds,

  • A forest school,
  • A yoga and fitness area,
  • A dome cinema,
  • A skate park.

These innovations will transform the park into not only a center for relaxation and entertainment, but also a place for sports, creativity, and social interaction.

The park’s reconstruction, led by the Dilijan Development Foundation (DDF), is grounded in the foundation’s mission — to create a comfortable and modern urban environment and to enhance the quality of life in the region.
