The Dilijan Community Center (DCC) is located in the town of Dilijan, Tavush region, and was established in 2014 by philanthropists Ruben Vardanyan and Veronika Zonabend.
In 2020, the DCC obtained the legal status of a non-governmental organization (NGO) under the name, “Dilijan Community Center” NGO. Its founding members are the Scholae Mundi Armenia Charitable Foundation, the Initiatives for Development of Armenia (IDeA) Foundation, and UWC Dilijan International School.
In 2021, the DCC became an Adult Learning Center (ALC) of DVV International in Armenia, expressing its commitment to collaborate in the field of non-formal adult education.
From 2022 to 2025, the DCC established and operated its first branch in the village of Aghavnavank, Dilijan community, in cooperation with the Tavush Regional Administration.
In 2023, the DCC, in partnership with the Tatev Municipality of the Syunik region, founded its second branch in the village of Halidzor. The Tatev Community Center was established and operates with the support of the Ruben Vardanyan Foundation.
The Dilijan Community Center is a shining beacon of knowledge, and a driving force for positive change. It provides a warm and welcoming environment, serving as an inclusive hub where everyone is valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential for personal and professional development, as well as community development, thus fostering an active community.
The mission of the Dilijan Community Center (DCC) is to shape a knowledge-based, participatory, inclusive, and active community by empowering local potential, and inspiring lifelong learning.
